Why bookings stay on-platform
Keeping bookings on MyPetFriends helps protect both you and the pet owner. Payments are securely held by our payment partner until the booking is complete, and if something goes wrong, either party can raise a dispute with our support team.
What Sitter Plus does change
The one thing Sitter Plus does change is that, if you’ve added your business name, website, or Instagram to your profile, you’re welcome to reference those details in your messages with pet owners, since they’re already publicly visible on your profile.
What you must not do
Regardless of whether you have Sitter Plus, you must not:
- Share contact details that aren’t already displayed on your profile, such as phone numbers, email addresses, or other social media accounts.
- Ask or encourage pet owners to arrange, pay for, or complete bookings outside of MyPetFriends.
Messages that break these rules may be removed or result in your conversation being suspended. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to your MyPetFriends account, including your Sitter Plus subscription, being suspended.
Why these rules exist
These rules exist for two reasons. First, on-platform bookings give both sitters and pet owners important protections, including secure payment handling and access to our dispute process. Second, MyPetFriends invests significant time and resources into building and promoting the platform so that pet owners can discover trusted sitters. Keeping bookings on MyPetFriends helps us continue growing the community and creating more booking opportunities for everyone.
